We are a busy, single-chair dental surgery where we do our best to make our patients comfortable. Respecting your time and ours at Northcote Family Dental Clinic is important. 

We understand that there are times when you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, when you book an appointment, we dedicate that specific time, staff, and clinical resources entirely to you. 

Hence, we require at least 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel your appointment. This allows our team enough time to offer the vacated appointment slot to another patient from our waiting list or someone in urgent need of care.

Late cancellations and missed appointments without reasonable notice affect our ability to care for other patients who need that time. If you fail to attend (FTA) your scheduled appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you may be subject to a cancellation fee of $75 to $100, depending on appointment length.

We are always empathetic to sudden illnesses or emergencies, and exceptions may be made to waive the cancellation fee in such cases.

For repeated FTAs or frequent cancellations, we reserve the right to require a non-refundable deposit of $75 prior to booking. This applies to online bookings as well, where there is a history of FTAs.

This deposit would go towards your treatment cost; however, it would be forfeited if the appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or in case of a no-show.
